Who is the voice of Neil?

Neil Lithgow has always been passionate about doing special things with his voice! In October 2008, he made the conscious decision to leave the comfort of his project management role at financial services company AMP and pursue the voice-over industry full-time. This was mainly fuelled by Neil’s desire and passion, along with a long line of friends and colleagues asking him why he wasn’t on radio, or doing voice-overs with such a strong voice!  Neil has been working closely with renowned voice coach Juliet Jordan from The Voice Business and recently recorded his first demo.

Neil’s strengths in the voice over industry include corporate reads, given his 20 years’ experience and knowledge in the financial services industry, as well as both soft-sell and hard-sell advertisements.

As a child, he received a scholarship to sing in St.Patrick’s Cathedral choir in Melbourne and undertook various theatrical roles there. He also began specialist training in breathing, diction and voice projection at this young age.

Neil graduated from university with a Commerce Degree, and has spent the past 20 years in the corporate world, in various finance and project management-related roles.  During this time, Neil has continued his love of anything voice related by conducting numerous corporate presentations, including hosting MLC’s 2002 annual staff update live in front of 2,000 people and recording online training for AMP financial planners in 2007.  Neil has also attended “The Presenter’s Voice” – a NIDA weekend intensive course that made him realise that this was his passion and that he wanted to focus more on this industry.
